Natural materials
At the heart of Slowhug are 100% superfine merino wool and 100% organic cotton.
We prioritise natural fibres and aim to keep our garments as gentle and simple as possible.
Merino wool is not the cheapest fabric. But it can last for years when cared for.
It can be worn often and passed on to a sibling or friend.
We believe in buying less and choosing wisely.
Making less, making better
We create in small runs and take our time with each design. We focus on quality so our garments can be worn often, kept longer, and passed on when possible.
Responsible partnerships
We work with trusted partners and value safe, respectful working environments. For us, sustainability is not only about materials, but also about the people behind each garment.
Packaging
We choose packaging with the same care as our garments.
Our printed materials are made using PaperWise, a paper created from agricultural residues such as leaves and stems left behind after harvesting grain and sugarcane. On average, only about 20% of a plant is used for food, while the remaining 80% is often discarded or burned.
By transforming these overlooked materials into a new resource, PaperWise turns waste into a new beginning. This approach reduces environmental impact while creating additional value for local farmers.
Uncoated, naturally textured, and fully recyclable, the paper is produced using 100% green energy.
Because sustainability should be felt not only in what you wear, but in how it arrives.
